March Madness

March Madness, also known as the NCAA Championships is in full swing with San Diego State University playing against Northern Colorado tomorrow on St. Patty's Day!  Traditionally my former roommates Lars and Steve would make the annual trip to Vegas betting on the NCAA contenders.  This year though they will both be watching from afar in Australia and Chicago, I am sure Vegas misses them both.

St. Patty's Day became one of my favorite holidays 4 years ago when Ky and I started dating!  We were both celebrating the Irish holiday with friends when we met up downtown at a bar called Basic; my life has never, ever been the same! 

This year we are having homemade corned beef and cabbage (Ky's favorite) from my wonderful Mother-in-law.  Jack and Nancy are in town for a few days spoiling us as usual.  They head to AZ Friday for a quick trip to visit friends with Kirk.  We can always count on delicious food and plenty of laughs when we all get together, especially when the stories involve our neice Addison!
